Originally founded to meet India?s demand for phosphoric acid to produce fertilizer with high-quality phosphate mined in Senegal, Industries Chimiques du Sénégal has grown to become the largest industrial complex in the nation. It produces, markets, and distributes phosphate, phosphoric acid, fertilizers, and pesticides and supplies water from boreholes for electrical power production.
Challenges
- Replace disparate financial, procurement, and payroll systems and integrate different processes across the organization
- Improve production budgeting?costs were inaccurate and took too long to obtain
- Speed the procure-to-pay cycle and closing of books
